Gas Safe Register and OFTEC are national watchdogs for gas and oil safety in the UK. Their goals are to make people safer when they use tradespeople such as ourselves. Both associations are striving to improve standards in the industries and to help the consumer find and use safe and competent tradespeople.

By maintaining an up-to-date register of qualified gas and oil installers, both Gas Safe Register and OFTEC set out to promote the core values of professional service and high standards in safety. Recently, registration has become a legal requirement for anyone installing or repairing gas and oil fittings or appliances. So you can be sure that any work completed by Gas Safe Register and OFTEC technicians will be done competently and safely.

Work undertaken in your home will be subject to Building Regulations, which includes any installation or upgrade work carried out. Building Regulations vary depending on your location, but generally all work must be notified to your local authority. A Gas Safe Register and OFTEC registered technician is a ‘competent person’ under Building Regulations legislation, and they can self-certify all works carried out and take care of the notification for you.
